Welcome to The Actors Lab

The Actors Lab is for actors who want to stay connected to their craft through intentional, meaningful practice. This à la carte option is ideal if you’re looking to drop in, explore new material, and keep your artistic muscles active - without committing to a full month.

Every session includes custom-written scenes, crafted specifically for the actors in the room. These original pieces are designed to meet you where you are, stretch your range, and support your personal artistic goals- whether that means deepening emotional truth, refining comedic instincts, strengthening grounded choices, or reconnecting to your on-camera presence.

Actors who complete at least one Actors Lab scene study workshop are eligible to participate in The Actors Showcase at the end of the month. The showcase is where you’ll perform your rehearsed scene for industry guests in a warm, welcoming environment. Actors have landed roles and signed with reps from this showcase - but above all, it’s a space to share your work, be seen, and celebrate how far you’ve come.

Scene Study Workshop:

• Character Creation & Development: Delve deep into character exploration and script analysis
• Emotional Expression and Scene Rehearsal: Harness the power of emotions in your acting, rehearse scenes with depth, and receive constructive feedback from your coach
• Improvisational Dexterity: Master the ability to spontaneously and skillfully react, adapt, and create in the moment, enhancing performance authenticity and versatility on stage or screen
• Cold-reading: prepare for inevitable script changes and mastering unprepared performances quickly
• Script Analysis: Laying the foundation for authentic portrayals
• Blocking and On-Camera Techniques: Master the technical aspects of on-camera acting, including blocking, maintaining eye-lines & emotional trajectory
• Cinematic Elements and Final Performances: Explore the magic of cinematic techniques and deliver powerful, emotionally charged performances.

*In these workshops, actors will rehearse their scene for The Actors Showcase.
